Half Hull Cutty Sark

In the days of sailing ships, when a customer would want a ship constructed he would go to a shipbuilder and choose from the many styles and types of ship designs that would meet his requirements. The shipbuilder often had scaled models that represented the finished ship. After the customer chose the correct model for his needs , the builder would proceed with construction by taking measurements directly from the model to build the ship . Old sample ship models are quite rare and extremely expensive. Finding old models is next to impossible. That's why we offer a quality reproduction that would look great in any collection. This half hull model is a stylized reproduction of the famous ship "Cutty Sark" style hull design. This painted hull is shown on a blue plaque with a distressed finish. It is approx.31" long, 7" high, and 2 " deep.
